Please Pray for Addison

This will be quick and to the point because I don't have a lot of time this morning.  Addison's doctor thinks she is having what is called "petit mal" seizures.  When it happens she zones out for a few seconds and can't hear or see us.  She doesn't respond at all, and then she comes right back.  You almost don't even notice it.  It's been going on for a few months and we are running some tests to get her checked out.  This morning is her sleep deprived EEG.  We had to keep her up until midnight and then back up at 6 this morning.  Very hard for our good little sleeper!  Then on Wednesday she has to do bloodwork and be sedated for an MRI of her brain.  We are staying positive but are still asking for lots of prayers.  So please pray for our little angel!  Here is a picture of her on her birthday (more birthday pics later when I have time):

2 years ago today....

A real life miracle was born.  It was about 4 weeks too early, but Addison was ready to make her entrance into the world.  I'll never EVER forget the first time I held that tiny little baby.  She was the most beautiful thing I had every seen.  Just a few pictures from her first 2 years:

Welcome October!

Can the weather get any better??  The fall is without a doubt my very favorite season.  I love everything about it.  The crisp air, the leaves, fall decorations, fall candles burning, it just makes me happy.  We've been enjoying being outside as much as possible.  I see weekly trips to the zoo in our future!  Random pics up ahead - enjoy!

Addison's LSU Football Debut - Post 2: The Stadium Experience

This is a continuation of the last post.  If you haven't read that one, scroll on down and read that one first.  This will be mostly pictures.  After receiving Addison's ticket (for free!!) we were off to the stadium!  Here she poses with her daddy, ticket in hand:

Once we got inside the stadium, we had to ride the elevator to get to our seats in West Upper.  Addison was not too keen on "waiting her turn".  Check out that face!

Once we got to the top, Addison wanted to check out the view:

Her first look inside the stadium:

Cheering on her Tigers:

Soooo just how long do you think Addison actually stayed in the game?  I didn't think she'd make it past pre-game.  Erik thought she would make it till half time.  The verdict?  Right in the middle.  She made it to the end of the first quarter.  So proud of our little Tiger Fan!!

Addison's LSU Football Debut - Post 1: The Tailgating Experience

Since Addison was born Erik has wanted to bring her to Tiger Stadium.  I successfully held him off until this season.  Last Saturday for the first home game we decided to take Addison out to campus.  We would tailgate a little while and just see how she was doing and "maybe" take her into a little bit of the game.  So we all dressed up in our Tiger gear, waited until she had a nice long nap and headed out.  She was so excited to see so many people wearing purple and gold. She kept saying "LSU mama, LSU!!".

Erik wanted to make sure to keep her close so he came up with a makeshift "leash":

It was still pretty warm so we hung out in the shade as much as we could.  Addison relaxing after the long walk to the tailgate site:

Here's me and my girl (no comments on my white legs people!).

Mrs. Kate took her to see the big inflatable tiger.  She though that was the neatest thing ever!

Then we were off to the PMAC to see the Golden Band from Tiger Land.  This is what Addison saw:

Wow!  Are you watching this dad?

She was very impressed!

Then it was time to head towards the stadium.  Erik and I have season tickets - but only for 2 seats.  LSU's unofficial policy states that "if you have a butt, you have to have a ticket", so Addison had to have her very own even though she was going to sit in our laps.  I did not want to pay full price for a ticket considering I knew we weren't going to stay for very long.  We held up one finger and were approached right away.  A girl was looking to sell 3 tickets.  When we told her it was Addison's very first game and we probably wouldn't stay very long, she let us have the ticket for free!!  Thank you sweet ticket girl!!

Tune in next time for the football game experience and find out how long we actually stayed!

It's Me Addison, Right Here!

Addison is becoming quite the talker.  I wonder who she gets that from.....  She also loves to sing.  Another thing inherited from her mama!  She can sing her entire ABC's without missing a letter and has been able to for a little while now.  She can also count from 1 to 10 unless she gets hung up on her favorite letter 8.  She still doesn't understand Paw Paw's joke about 7 being so scary because 7 ate 9.  A few of you will have to think about that one :)  All of this before the age of 2!

Most of the time she's super funny in what she says.  The other day we pulled up to Mom's house.  Mom came out to the car and as soon as Addison saw her she said, "Hey Nana!  It's me, Addison" and pointed to her chest.  I guess she thought mom needed to be reminded who she was.  Then a couple of days later when we saw mom again she said, "Hey Nana!  It's me, Addison, right here!" all while pointing to her chest.  It's so cute.

This is the last official month that I can say my baby is still 1 year old.  Time flies people.  Really, it does.  The next thing I know she'll be starting preschool *tear*.  Yes I am feeling quite nostalgic.

Zoo Day

We haven't been to the zoo in a long time due to the heat, but we decided to brave it this week and head on over.  We met a few friends and let the kids run, play, and see all the animals.  The most ferocious animal of all - the TIGER.

Watch out folks....

Addison and Jayden - he's a couple of months younger than Addison.  You couldn't tell to look at them though!  Sweet babies holding hands.  Everybody collectively now...

AWWWWWW

So yeah - it was hot, but we had fun anyway.

LSU football starts this weekend - GEAUX TIGERS!  Our church is also kicking off it's first Saturday Night service.  We get to wear our LSU gear and they will feed us afterwards.  This is a great time to visit if you've been wanting to try it out.  Saturday night at 5pm Journey Church in Central.  http://journeychurchcentral.com/main/

See you there!
